Members of Sigma Iota Pi participated in two service projects in the months of November and December to spread the love of the holiday season with others.
First, several of the girls helped to pack shoe boxes that will travel the globe to be handed out to children in under-served communities around the world.
The girls also wrote Christmas cards to children at the Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS as well as a little boy in Louisiana who has a terminal brain tumor and requested only Christmas cards this year.
The girls also wrote cards to the area first –responders to thank them for their service and wish them well as many of them will be working during the holiday season.
These small gestures are ways the group decided to spread cheer at this time of the year.
