NASD Counselors attend ASCA National Conference

From July 10-14, 2021, four of NASD's Professional School counselors were afforded the opportunity to attend the American School Counselor Association's Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school counselors in attendance were Felicia Durr, Oquella Gaines, Monica King and Erin Ugboaja. This afforded them the opportunity to join other school counseling professionals for four days of inspirational keynote sessions, informative breakout sessions, in-depth looks at hot topics in the school counseling profession and networking opportunities. Among the hot topics were Social Emotional Learning, ASCA Lesson Planning, Guidance Advisory Council Implementation and Depression Education just to name a few.  Below are some highlights and takeaways from our SEL sessions.
