Natchez-Adams School District's November 2019 Spotlight Alumnus is Renee’ Catherine Davis-Wall

After graduating from Natchez High School in 2002, I attended Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, LA on a full academic scholarship. I graduated from LSU in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I began Physical Therapy school in May 2006 at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in August 2008. Since that time I have received a Manual Therapy Certification, Dry Needling Certification, and Post-Partum Corrective Exercise Specialization.

I am currently employed by Sta-Home Health in Natchez but previously did travel therapy jobs for many years around Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I am a member of Community Chapel Church of God, The Natchez Young Professionals, and The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). I currently serve as the Federal Affairs Liaison for the Mississippi Chapter of the APTA and served on the NASD Board of Directors from 2017 to 2019. I am the founder of a book project named “The Natchez Literacy Project.” Over the past couple of years, with the help of family, friends, and the community, we have donated over 2000 books directly to NASD
students pre-K through 3rd grade through that project. My husband and I welcomed our first child in the fall of 2018, and she is my greatest accomplishment thus far.

My message for students: You cannot always control the situations around you, but how you react to them is within your control. When there is a stone in your path, do not let it become a stumbling block, but instead use it as a stepping stone to overcome adversity!
