Natchez-Adams School District honors this year’s retirees for their service

Natchez-Adams School District hosted a retirement celebration for fifteen staff members this week. The 15 individuals retiring came from a variety of roles within the school district. Some of them served in multiple capacities over the years of their employment.

The celebration started with retirees being recognized and presented with plaques at the Tuesday, May 21 Board of Education meeting. A reception for the honorees and their families, hosted by Dornedia Brown, was held at The Natchez Manor following the presentation.

Among the retirees are Angela Anderson, Freda Allen, Ray Brown, Courtney Feltus, Josephine Green, Lovonia Howard, Allison Jowers, Vicki Malone, Betty McGuire, Larry Sweazy, Ruth Walker, Lucsennie Williams, Cheryl Winding, Calvin Woodfork, and Authur Woods.

“We are celebrating all of you for what you have given us—especially what you have given our students throughout the years,” said Interim Public Relations Director Tony Fields. “This celebration is bittersweet because we will miss you all as you leave and go off to retirement.”
